Scion was founded in 2006 to bring the Aprimo suite to the South African Market. The founder of Scion acquired the Aprimo suite for Nedbank in 2001 as an early adopter of marketing automation solutions. This translates to 10 year of Aprimo experience and a deep and rich understanding of the platform, its intent and 'how it thinks".

I came back to South Africa in 1992 after finishing my MSc at Warwick Business School working in various roles ending up as the CIO of the Retail division of Nedbank. I left Nedbank in 2006 to represent Aprimo in South Africa, having acquired their solution for Nedbank - 4 year later, lots of twists and turns plus the 2009 financial whirlwind of the credit crunch and we are still in the game.

 

"IT speak" and use is still full of complexity. However the journey to make it more "Utility-like = plug it in like electricity" is gathering pace and opening up the "Cloud" and OnDemand solutions. I am enjoying sharing this journey with others.
